ABOUT OUR CANDLES

  • What are your candles made of?

Paeonia Candles are made from high quality food-grade paraffin wax, with lead-free cotton wicks. Paraffin wax is cruelty-​free, and vegan. These candles are hand-dipped, which means the interior is white, so they burn smokeless and dripless. Candles are handmade, and hand-painted in Canada. 

  • What paint do you use? Can I light these candles?

I use a water-based, non-toxic paint. Paeonia candles are meant to be burned! Please light them, please enjoy them! The paint will burn alongside the wax. 

  • Do Paeonia Candles have fragrance?

No, the candles are fragrance-free! This means people who are sensitive or allergic to fragrances can still enjoy Paeonia Candles in your home, as gifts, or at your special events. 

HOW TO ORDER

  • Can I add items to an already-placed order?

If your order has not shipped, please reach out to rachel@paeoniacandles.com with the additional items you would like to add. If the additional items mean shipping charges are increased, we may have to cancel the first order, and submit a new one. Unfortunately, if your order has already shipped, you will have to place another order. 

  • Can I cancel my order?

If your order has not already shipped, please email rachel@paeoniacandles.com as soon as possible. 

  • How do I contact you to ask a question before placing an order?

  • How do I begin my bespoke order?

You are not required to pay for the bespoke deposit before we begin discussion. First let's connect via email (rachel@paeoniacandles.com), I can't wait to hear all your ideas! If you're planning an event, please include the date in your email so we can discuss ideal delivery timeline. I also love to see any inspiration photos you might have. Once we've established a timeline, and quote, you will be asked to complete your purchase of the bespoke deposit. 

SHIPPING & RETURNS

  • Can I change the shipping address after I've placed an order?

If you need to change your address before your order has shipped, please reach out as soon as possible to rachel@paeoniacandles.com with your updated address, and your order number. 

  • How long will it take for my candle delivery to arrive?

Paeonia Candles ship from Canada, so delivery times are contingent on where you're placing your order from. Orders are typically shipped within two (2) business days, but a predicted delivery date is issued at checkout. If you are planning an event with an impending deadline, please reach out to rachel@paeoniacandles.com before placing an order, so that we can discuss options for accelerated shipping.   

  • What if my candles are damaged in shipment?

If some or all of your order is broken/damaged in transit, please email rachel@paeoniacandles.com within three (3) days of receiving it. I will require images of the damage, so please include those in your email.

Opportunities for replacement or refund will be issued on a case-by-case basis. I reserve the right to refuse replacement or refund if the issue is not highlighted within ten (10) days of order delivery.

Refunds will be issued to original form of payment within 14 days.  Replacements are contingent upon stock availability.  

  • Under what conditions may I return my order?

It's important to me that you're happy with your Paeonia Candle order. If you receive your order, and you are not satisfied, please reach out to rachel@paeoniacandles.com within three (3) days of receiving it. Please include the reason(s) you are dissatisfied, so that we may discuss the opportunity for replacement or return.

I reserve the right to refuse replacements or returns for orders that are not damaged, not incongruous to their description, or if the concern is not communicated within ten (10) days of delivery. Original shipping charges for return orders are non-refundable. 

If your candles are unused and remain in the original packaging, returns may be accepted. Unfortunately, I cannot provide return postage. I am not liable for return orders lost or damaged, so I strongly suggest shipping with tracking, and keeping proof of postage.  

Please allow ten (10) days after return has been delivered for funds to be credited. Refunds will be issued to original form of payment within 14 days. Replacements are contingent upon stock availability.
